Lounge Girl for Courtney

This is another of the Lounge Girls graphics from theclipartfairy.  I use this graphic a lot in various colours and with many different backgrounds and shaped cards.

I must say though, that this is my favourite so far.  I love the background paper, the colours work really well with this graphic.  I added text to the frame and a faux ribbon with slide that highlights the recipients name.

Finished off with complementing pink ribbon, bow and little seed pearls and glamour dust, this is a lovely card that I'm really pleased with.

My Wedding Keepsake Box

Unfortunately due to problems with blogger, I missed last week's Polkadoodles challenge but am posting this anyway as I'm pleased with this.

It's the third of my Keepsake Boxes and it's for a wedding, obviously.  I've used a little kit from theclipartfairy
To the top of the birdcage I've added the couple's names and date of wedding.  Gorgeous pink orchids and tiny white pearls placed at the top corners and a lovely white satin ribbon with enamel Mr + Mrs charm.
The lid opens to reveal the same graphic and the message to the happy couple.  As a little surprise, when the lid opens it plays a tune (I dismantled another card I bought to use the musical element from it).

Concealed underneath again, is a secret drawer . . .
. . . inside which is a gift envelope printed the same as the box, to which I've added golden rings with two white doves.

A gift token, or in this case, some cash for the couple to put to something nice for themselves.

Owls with Love

I've again used Double Sprinkle of Kraft for this lovely card.  The pale pink backing paper is one of many lovely designs on this disc and the owls I've used the digistamp and coloured myself using another of my pressies........ promarkers.

All I added to this card is a little white and silver tab that says "with love" and some narrow pink ribbon.

I must say that I'm really enjoying colouring with the promarkers, they make it so easy and it's very relaxing.

Trio of "little" cards

I got some lovely things for my birthday recently and have been playing with a disc from Polkadoodles "A Double Sprinkle of Kraft" which is fantastic (especially since it has lots of owl graphics and I'm loving owls).

This little trio of cards are made from the disc and I'm delighted with the result.

This card I used as a base, a pale pink pre-folded card blank, to which I added my printed graphic on white linen cardstock.  The Happy Birthday I used embossing powder and my heat tool, I used Diamond Sparkles on the rosebuds (which gives a lovely colour shine), added a big pink and white flower, a pink transparent butterfly and edged with silver peel-off.
This one, I printed off and added to a pale blue card blank. Again heat embossed the "Happy", added a sheer white bow and a little enamel butterfly.
The third card I used peach card blank and added this shaped graphic.  Heat embossed Wings and Dreams and added a tiny gem to the i in wings.

The insides of the cards are printed with same colourway and I'm pleased with the overall results.

Hopefully found a Way to post pics

Hello, hopefully this will work and I will be able to add a pic to this post........ see how it goes hey.

This is a pic of the card I should have added to the earlier post, titled "Card for Oliver".  I've used the gorgeous set from theclipartfairy.
It is a baby word book that you can add the alphabets that come with the set to make up the name of your choice. The graphic is "little prince" also from the fairy.
I've added a little blue ribbon bow and some tiny nappy pins which I bought a while ago and have in my stash.
The little prince graphic I've painted with clear nail varnish to give a lovely shine, added some stick on jewels to his little crown and to the front of his coat.  Suitably glamour dusted and little button added, I'm delighted with this card.

Sorry but still no pics!!!!!

Hiya All, I haven't given up blogging, but sadly I am unable to find out what the problem is with blogger as it still won't let me either edit existing blog posts to include pics nor add pics to any future blog posts I do. If anyone has any ideas as to what I can do to solve this I'd be more than grateful.

I've tried also using laptop and still won't let me post pics. :(

Card for Oliver

Good morning all, having problems with posting again so I'll post the text and when blogger up and running properly I'll come back and add the pics.

I've made another baby word book card in blue for a new baby boy, Oliver. To the card I've added the lovely Little Prince graphic from theclipartfairy, a little blue heart button and some tiny nappy pins and blue bow.
To the little prince, I've added some stick on gems on the crown and down the front of the coat. Suitably glamour dusted, this is a delightful card that I'm more than pleased with

My First Attempt with Promarkers!

Another of my pressies for my birthday was some Promarkers and I've been having a little play with them and the Stampies from my new CD Rom Double Sprinkles of Kraft . . . this is my 1st attempt and I'm very pleased with the result. I've used the gorgeous textured look kraft papers within the CD to matt and layer up onto an 8" x 8" square card, along with some mirrorboard as base layer. I've added two kinds of ribbon, a sheer one and a gorgeous rich chocolate brown velvet band. To the top right hand corner I've added a lovely wooden flower with pearl and gold centre (from my stash box . . . was actually a pair of earrings I bought to use as decoration for cards) I must say that I always used to love colouring in when I was a lot younger than I am now . . . I had forgotten how theraputic it can be. I found it very relaxing to sit and colour in these lovely stampies and I'll certainly be doing more of these. I hope that I'm getting the hang of shading, no doubt it's something I'll get better with the more I do.

Hoorah . . . back in business with blogging

Phew, I've not been having any luck the past 3days with posting pics of my cards but hey, seems to be working now, don't know what problem was but so pleased it appears to be sorted now. So here goes.

I've had my birthday yesterday and got some lovely crafty goodies from my family (cos they know what I like:) One of my pressies is the new Polkadoodles CD Rom Double Sprinkles of Kraft and I actually made a card for my little grandson Warren to write for his Nannie.

I printed off the log image onto white linen cardstock and trimmed to landscape DL size. I've used the PNG letters to add "nan" to the top of the log and using "wordart" added a curved Happy Birthday around the tallest toadstool.

I printed off another image including the flowers and toadstools, then decoupaged these onto the card to add some needed dimension. I also cut out some little ladybirds and dotted them about on foam pads. The bees I wanted to do something different with, so I made some little springs by winding fine wire round a kitchen skewer to make springs, used glue gel to stick two sides of each bee together and attach to end of spring. The other end of spring I inserted into the foam pads behind the decoupaged graphic, resulting in bees looking like they are hovering over the flowers . . . I'm delighted with the effect this gives and it works brilliantly with this graphic.

I don't know if it shows up too well on these pics, but I also had a play with another of my pressies - a heat tool, so I used gold embossing powder to highlight elements of the graphic, which gives a lovely finish to this little card.

I must say that the graphics and kraft papers on this new Polkadoodles CD are just brilliant, such lovely colours and the papers look like they are textured.

I will be certainly enjoy playing with this cd more in the next few days so look out for some more new cards being posted.
