For My Frances

I've used one of the beautiful flower fairies to create this card for my grandson to give his mum's friend.

I've used spray and shine over the whole decoupage panel to give a lovely sheen.  Added spellbinders carnation flower with pearl brad for centre, some ribbon with pearl slider and tiny diamante gems.    I'm pleased with the end result, colours work well together.

The second pic shows a close-up of the beautiful flower fairy.

There are seven layers of decoupage going on here to give
lots of dimension. This is a gorgeous image
to use as the colours blend to look like a painting

Hoorah, finally able to add second pic that goes with previous post.  All the elements to make up this colourful card are from Nitwits.  The patchwork duck, bunting and letters are all decoupaged to add dimension.

This is a close-up of a card I have made for my Granddaughter's 4th Birthday coming up in August.  I have used the lovely Nitwits collection and created the banner the gorgeous patchwork duck is holding from elements from the collection.

I decoupaged up many elements to add dimension, and the result is that the page is brought to life, which sadly as I cannot upload more pics, am unable to show.

I have really bright colours to make this colourful card. I have been trying to upload more pics but blogger is not co-operating at the minute, which is why I haven't been blogging for a while.  It takes so long to upload pictures and when you're tied to time, its time I can ill afford to spend at the minute.

I will enter this into the Polkadoodles challenge this week which is for lots of colours.  I have been using the new cd rom from Polkadoodles recently - Picknix and it's fantastic, just a shame blogger won't let me play and show some of my recent makes.

This card I made for one of my Grandsons birthdays a couple of weeks ago... I used Docrafts Woodland Folk and Friends CD rom (which I absolutely love).  The card is a large 10x8 and is on brown linen cardstock as the base.  The bp is from same cd as is the snake image and ribbon strip.

I matted the image onto silver mirricard, glossy accents adds some lovely dimension to the decoupage.  I added my grandson's name using letters from the cd rom, a circle nestie cut from spellbinders, finished off with silver number 4, ribbon bow to top.

Card for Ellie

Card I made a while ago and have been unable to blog....... using the lovely nitwits papers and images.
I used lovely white linen cardstock and matted and layered different papers.  To this I added decoupaged elements from same nitwits collection.  I used glossy accents to give a high gloss sheen and glamour dust ....... really pleased with the finished card.

Card for My Little Bee

Second card made using the Country Companions CD Rom. . . this one for my gorgeous Grandaughter Elizabeth, who will be 7 in February.

As for the previous post for her mum, I've used lilac papers matted and layered, same embossed lilac ribbon and this time used gorgeous image of mouse sitting on top of presents.

I've decoupaged the image but sadly the pic doesn't show this.  Glossy Accents have been used on the image and the little buttons to add some shine.

I'm liking making these cards at the minute so guess I'd better keep on crafting.  It's nice to take time out and make some cards that aren't Christmassy at the minute.

1st post for a while

Not been in the mood for being creative since my dad died at the beginning of November, but felt that I should begin to get back into the mood.  My eldest daughter's birthday is 6weeks after Christmas so thought I'd start with her birthday cards.

For this I've used Docrafts Country Companions which is a lovely CD rom full of little country creatures.

I used some lovely lilac cardstock and matted and layered up various lilac papers, some lovely wide lilac embossed ribbon from a local garden centre. I highlighted the flowers, brads etc with glossy accents to give a lovely shine.  As my daughter doesn't like glitter (makes a mess) I've not used any on this card
and am really pleased with the result.

The pic on the right shows a close-up of the flowers and
the little charms - fan and letter from Meiflower.
